The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is commemorating 60 years of Kenyan diplomacy today at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). H.E. Musalia Mudavadi emphasized Kenya’s remarkable progress in its diplomatic journey, establishing itself as a key diplomatic hub.

“From modest beginnings in 1963 with just six missions abroad, Kenya now boasts 70 missions worldwide, reflecting our expanding influence and the critical role of international partnerships. Our achievements, from serving as a logistical hub during World War II to becoming a core state in the region, are noteworthy milestones,” he stated.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary also unveiled the 2024 Protocol Manual, the ICT Policy, and the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan for the State Department for Foreign Affairs.

Hon. Musalia encouraged the public to participate in the various activities planned over the coming days to mark this significant achievement by the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

He concluded by visiting the exhibition booths where he appreciated what SDEP is doing, especially on MTP- IV and the National Indicator Handbook.
