Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon.Musalia Mudavadi, E.G.H Leads the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Commemorating 60 Years of Kenyan Diplomacy

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commemorated 60 years of Kenyan diplomacy on 2nd December,2024 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC). In his speech,  H.E. Musalia Mudavadi emphasized Kenya’s remarkable progress in it’s diplomatic journey, establishing itself as a key diplomatic hub.

“From modest beginnings in 1963 with just six missions abroad, Kenya now boasts 70 missions worldwide, reflecting our expanding influence and the critical role of international partnerships. Our achievements, from serving as a logistical hub during World War II to becoming a core state in the region, are noteworthy milestones,” he stated.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary also unveiled the 2024 Protocol Manual, the ICT Policy, and the 2023-2027 Strategic Plan for the State Department for Foreign Affairs.

Hon. Musalia encouraged the public to participate in the various activities planned over the coming days to mark this significant achievement by the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

He concluded by visiting the exhibition booths where he appreciated the State Department for Economic Planning effort especially in the development of the Medium Term Plan (MTP- IV) and the National Indicator Handbook.
