Economists Forum closing ceremony

The Economists Forum closing ceremony was officially performed by the National Treasury and Planning Chief Administrative Secretary( CAS), Nelson Gaichuhie in Mombasa where tangible recommendations were agreed upon by the participants. These outcomes will assist the Government Plan smoothly in future.

Addressing the Economists Forum in Mombasa, the Principal Secretary for State Department for Planning, Saitoti Torome said that Central Planning and Projects Monitoring Units officers are expected to engage among other issues, the proposed Career Progression Guidelines for the Economist Cadre which is a paradigm shift from the existing Schemes of Service.

He added that one of the actions the government is taking to ensure that the Economy is revitalized in record time through Planning is by re-establishing the National Government County Planning Offices to coordinate the National Planning in the 47 Counties.
