Senator Daisy Nyongesa pays a courtesy call on the Chief Administrative Secretary
She was one of the youngest Senators in the country and now she serves as a consultant at the Ministry of Health. Senator Daisy Nyongesa’s focus is to ensure Omnibus Bills that include The Health (Amendment) Laws 2021 and The NHIF (Amendment) bill comes to law. If this bill goes through it will contribute to full implementation of the UHC across the whole country and enable all Kenyans to access medical services without out-of-pocket spending.
Senator paid a courtesy call on the Chief Administrative Secretary, The National Teasury and Planning, Eric Simiyu Wafukho at Treasury buildings where she lauded the role the Ministry of National Treasury and Planning not only in the Exchequer releases but in capacity building and strategy guidance through the Planning Officers seconded by Treasury to the various Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs).
She challenged Wafukho to use his vast experience and depth of understanding of development and financing models to serve his God and Country. She thanked the President for honouring the community by appointing Wafukho into an inarguably most executive ministry in the country with tentacles that touch on all the other ministries.
