Submission before the Senate Committee on Delegated Legislation on PFM Equalisation Fund Regulations 2021
The Chief Administrative Secretary, National Treasury and Planning, Eric Simiyu Wafukho led a team from Treasury on behalf of the Cabinet Secretary, Amb. Ukur Yatani in making submission before the Senate Committee at a Mombasa Hotel on Delegated Legislation on PFM Equalisation Fund Regulations 2021.
The regulations are expected to ensure compliance with an earlier court ruling, unlock the flow of resources under the Equalisation Fund and accelerate implementation of programs in the targeted counties in accordance with the First Policy that targeted 14 counties and the Second Policy that is targeting 34 counties as determined by the Commission on Revenue Allocation.
The team included Hon. Nelson Gachuie, Chief Administrative Secretary, The National Treasury and Planning, Albert Mwenda, Director, Budget and Fiscal Economic Affairs and Guyo Boru, Head of Equalisation Fund.
Also represented at the meeting were; the Commission on Revenue Allocation, Controller of Budget, County Assemblies Forum and Council of Governors.
