Meeting to discuss the Organization Structure

The Economic Planning Principal Secretary James Muhati led the State Department for Economic Planning (SDEP) Heads of Directorates/ Departments/ Divisions and Units on a one day retreat at the KICC Nairobi to brainstorm on the Organization Structure of the State Department for Economic Planning as per the Government Executive Order Number 1 of 2023 January.

The meeting was held on 1/2/2023.

The one day retreat was meant to create a common understanding of the SDEP Mandate as per the Executive Order, the ideal structure in relation to the new mandate, and finally develop a roadmap for developing and finalizing on the SDEP final Organization Structure.

As he guided the Heads on the suitable approach to unbundle the SDEP functions, PS Muhati reiterated that he was always delighted to meet this important working team because he believed in delivering as one, being very effective and nurturing efficiency at work.

He further stated that there was need to be as objective as possible and balance on how to deliver services to the public through implementation of the mandate curved out for SDEP.

On arrival at the KICC, the Principal Secretary, James Muhati was received by the Economic Planning Secretary, Katherine Muoki and the Director of Administration, Joel Makori.
