Economic Planning Secretary, Timothy Gakuu, addressed the Macro Working Group which is developing the Status of the Kenya Economy Reports for 2023/2024, in  Naivasha on 26th April,2024.

The team has already made tremendous progress by coming up with the first two drafts for quarter two and quarter three.

The two reports are expected to be released in the month of May, 2024.

For inclusivity and in terms of drafting credible and concrete reports touching on the current Economic Outlook, the State Department for Economic Planning is involving various Ministries, Departments and Agencies in coming up with these quarterly reports.

They include; the National Treasury, Central Bank of Kenya,KRA, KNBS, KIPPRA, Controller of Budget, CRA and others. The Status of the Economy Reports are supposed to be released every quarter.

The Economic Planning Secretary was accompanied by the Macroeconomic Directors, Benson Kiriga, Dr. Makau and Director Wangwe in charge of the International Frameworks Coordination Division.
