Alignment of CIDPs to Bottom -Up Agenda
The 47 Counties have been urged to align CIDPs to the Kenya Kwanza administration’s Bottom – Up Economic Transformation Agenda to spur quick economic growth.
Speaking in Mombasa today, the National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u said that there are various mechanisms that have been established for the facilitation of intergovernmental relations at the national and county levels of jurisdiction.
He added that the government will soon implement policies and structural reforms that will promote investments on the five priority economic pillars which are; Agriculture, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises(MSMEs); Affordable Housing and Settlement, Healthcare; and Digital Superhighway and Creative Economy.
The Cabinet Secretary said this while addressing the National and County Government officials attending a Sensitization Workshop on aligning County Integrated Development Plans (CIDPs) 2023-2027 to the Kenya Kwanza Administration, Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and the Fourth Medium Term Plan MTPIV (2023 – 2027).
Present during the meeting were; Economic Planning Principal Secretary, James Muhati, Director General’s of the SAGAs under State Department for Economic Planning, Council of Governors Representatives, County Chief Officers among other invited guests.
