Fourth MTP National Steering Committee Meeting
The Head of Public Service, Mr. Felix Koskei today morning officiated during the Fourth Medium Term Plan(MTP IV 2023-2027 )National Steering Committee Meeting attended by Principal Secretaries and other Senior Government officials. The National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u also addressed the meeting.
In his remarks, Mr.Koskei said that the Fourth MTP which has institutionalized the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA)will help the government to build back the economy to a robust growth despite global economic turbulence affecting supplies of crucial commodities like fuel,oils products,food and electricity.
He told the Senior Public Servants to Anchor Kenya in a leveraged system to stand high in the region by ensuring and positioning themselves as agents of change as well as leaders in all sectors as they embark on improving government service delivery.
“We are all agents of our Country’s Transformation. We have to analyze the problems correctly and come up with the right solutions.” CS Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u said as he addressed the meeting.
In his address Economic Planning Principal Secretary James Muhati reiterated that the Fourth Medium Term Plan outlines specific policies to ensure that there are no gaps in the government implementation of policies, projects and Programmes for the next FIVE YEARS. He added that the Kenya Kwanza Manifesto and the Bottom-Up Transformation Agenda (BETA) are also well integrated into the PLAN.
