Ms. Grace Kimitei serves as a Director of Economic Planning, holding a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Nairobi. With over 18 years of diverse experience in public service, she currently leads the Monitoring and Evaluation Directorate. Ms. Kimitei has actively contributed to the devolved system of governance, having served as a Program Officer for the Taskforce on Devolved Governance, a Programme Officer at the Transition Authority, and a Principal Research and Planning Officer at the Office of the Controller of Budget. Additionally, she has held the position of Head of Strategy at the LAPSSET Corridor Development Authority.
Her commitment to professional development is evident through her participation in various courses, including the Strategic Leadership Development Programme at the Kenya School of Government, the Executive Course for Evaluation Leaders (Excel) in South Africa, and Economic Policy Management (IDEP).
