National Stakeholders Forum for MTPIV 2023-2027

The National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u officially opened the National Stakeholder’s Forum for the Fourth Medium Term Plan(MTPIV 2023-2027) on 26/4/2023 at the Kenya School of Government (KSG).

The Stakeholders Forum brought together different partners such as: World Bank, UN Resident Coordinator, Chief Registrar, Council of Governors, National Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Kenya Employers, Teachers Service Commission, National Assembly and many others. The State Department for Economic Planning was the host for this Forum.

MTPIV Theme; “Accelerating Social-economic Transformation to a More Competitive, Inclusive, and Resilient Economy: The Bottom-Up Approach.”

Economic Transformation is very Important. Economic growth will reduce poverty, inequalities and improve livelihoods. CS tells participants.

He added that MTPIV focuses more on areas that will spur faster growth of the economy such as; agriculture transformation, manufacturing, services economy, creative economy, and MSMEs so as to drive functioning markets.

In attendance were; Economic Planning Secretary, Katherine Muoki, the Heads of SAGAs and Directors from SDEP.
