PS meeting with SDEP Website, Publicity and Editorial Committee

PS James Muhati this morning met the SDEP Website, Publicity and Editorial Committee in his office. The Committee was established in February 2023 to support the Public Communications Unit in Website management, Publicity Programmes and Editorial tasks.

The purpose of the meeting was to present to the PS a Concept note, Roadmap, Working strategy for the committees activities as well as workshop report for the review of the SDEP website and microsites.The Committee is also tasked with identifying areas that may increase visibility, enhance service delivery and create public awareness of policies, programs and activities carried out by the SDEP.

In addition the Committee will also track the progress made by the Government in implementing BETA priorities and other programs and communicate the same to the relevant stakeholders.Members of the committee are drawn from various directorates/units to cover different cadres for inclusivity, substantial representation and form a pool of vast ideas.

Present during the meeting was Florence Mugendi, Head of Public Communications Unit who is also the the Chair of the committee and Eric Mugo, Head of ICT.
