PS visit to Laikipia County to assess return rate to schools

Planning Principal Secretary Saitoti Torome and his Environment and Forestry Counterpart Dr Kiptoo Christopher Kiprotich at the Laikipia County Commissioner’s office Mr Daniel Nyameti on 8/1/2021. They were in the County to assess the general rate of return to school by both learners and teachers. A total of seven schools were visited namely Laikipia Airbase Secondary school,  Laikipia Airbase Primary School,  Naibor Secondary School, Nanyuki Primary School, Ngobit Boys Secondary School, Ngobit Boys Secondary School and Ngobit Primary School. Most teachers have reported back except for those over 58 years and others with underlying health issues.  About 80% of learners are back to school except for a few cases of pregnancy and others who got married.
