Round Table Meeting with Heads of SAGAs

The Economic Planning Principal Secretary, James Muhati hosted the Heads of Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies (SAGAs) under the jurisdiction of the State Department for Economic Planning in a Round Table Meeting at the KICC today.

The SAGAs under SDEP include: Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research Analysis(KIPPRA), Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Secretariat, (VDS) Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), National Council for Population and Development (NCPD), National Government Constituency Development Fund(NG-CDF), and NEPAD-APRM Kenya Secretariat.

The SAGAs Heads who attended the meeting were: Dr. Rose Ngugi, Executive Director, KIPPRA, Mr. Kenneth Mwige Director General, VDS 2030, Dr. Sheikh Mohammed, Director General NCPD, Dr. Yusuf Mbuno CEO,NG-CDF, and Dr. Amb. Samori Okwiya, CEO, NEPAD-APRM Secretariat. The KNBS DG was represented by Director of Corporate Affairs, MS. Ann Mburu.

In his address, PS James Muhati spelt out the objective of the morning meeting as, “DELIVERING AS ONE.”
However, there were presentations on; The Human Resource Management and Development, Regulations, Procedures and Good Governance; as well as the Financial Management as spelt out in the PFM Act of 2012.
The meeting was also attended by Economic Planning Secretary, Katherine Muoki, and various SDEP Directors.
