Sensitization Workshop for Economists

Chief Administrative Secretary Eric Simiyu Wafukho opened the sensitization workshop for the National Government Planning Officers at the regional and county levels happening in Mombasa.

Attending the event are officers drawn from re-established National Government Planning Offices in various Counties and others from the Headquarters.

The workshop aimed at sensitizing officers on number of issues including National Development Planning Framework, mandate and functions of the State Department for Planning ,Public Financial and procurement management among others.

During his address, Wafukho noted that there is need to establish a good rapport with the county Governments in order to ensure smooth flow of information and cooperation.

He also noted the challenges operational officers are facing and reiterated the commitment of the National Treasury and Planning towards addressing the given constraints henceforth.
