This morning the National Treasury and Economic Planning Cabinet Secretary, Prof. Njuguna Ndung’u officially launched the Audit Committee in charge of the National Treasury and Economic Planning Ministry.
The meeting that took place at Treasury Building was also attended by the two PSs, Dr. Chris Kiptoo and Economic Planning PS James Muhati.
The Head of Internal Audit and the Chairman of the Audit Committee briefed the meeting on the issues of working effectively to make the operations of the Ministry run smoothly despite limited resources.
The Cabinet Secretary told the Auditors to be more innovative and establish more internal controls to support the system and achieve the desired goals.
He added that value addition is very important to ensure that the current administration whose theme is based on the Bottom Up Economic Model delivers on its promises to the citizens.
Present also were Heads of Departments from State Department for Economic Planning.
