The National Treasury and Planning Chief Administrative Secretary opened a working meeting for the adoption of the Fourth Medium-Term Plan Draft Concept Note
CAS, Eric Wafukho opened a working retreat for the adoption of the Fourth Medium-Term Plan for 2023-2027 draft concept note .
The development of the concept note is one of the key actions of MTP IV preparatory process .The process does not only appreciate the milestones made on the Third Medium Term Plan 2018-2021 (MTP III),but also seeks to leverage on the Challenges and lessons learnt during the current planning period.
In order to allow effective delivery of the plan by the set timelines, the State Department for Planning intends to have a draft MTP 1V ready by the end of June 2022. The draft will then be revised to incorporate priorities captured in the Manifesto of the Political Party which will form the Government after the August 2022 General Elections before its finalization and launch.
In his address, Wafukho thanked the Macro Department team for their steadfastness in delivering on the state Department’s mandate of formulating National development plans and sectoral plans.
Others in attendance included the Economic Planning Advisor, Joseph Mukui, Economic Planning Secretary, Katherine Muoki, Heads of Directorates and SAGAs among others.
