Grassroots Data Management Phase II Training in Nyandarua County

The National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs) in Nyandarua Countycommenced training sessions on grassroots data management in Ol Kalou Sub-County today.

The training is part of the Phase II of  the grassroots data management for evidence based programme being coordinated by the State Department for Economic Planning (SDEP) in collaboration with the State Department for Interior, Konza Metropolis;- ‘a tech hub,’ and the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS).

The training is aimed at enhancing the collection of reliable information for evidence-based planning and policy decision making for balanced planning and resource allocation.

In addition, during the presentations it was observed that reliable grassroots data is  particularly important as the country approaches the end of the Kenya Vision 2030 period, noting that the information would help the government assess the country’s economic growth and development progress, identify gaps, and formulate appropriate policies and strategies that will enable the government to make tangible plans as we head towards coming up with the next long term development plan; “Beyond Vision 2030.”
